Please include the following when reporting an issue, so we can help you faster:
My speed/distance/route seems inaccurate.
GPS accuracy depends on your device, weather, and surroundings (tall buildings, tunnels, dense tree cover, etc. can degrade the signal). Make sure Location access is set to "While Using the App" or "Always" in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Location Services → BikePilot, and that Location Services is enabled system-wide.
The App stopped tracking my ride when I locked my phone / switched apps.
BikePilot uses background location updates to keep recording while your device is locked or you're using another app. Make sure Location permission is granted and that Low Power Mode isn't aggressively limiting background activity, which can affect GPS update frequency on some devices.
My heart rate / speed & cadence / temperature sensor won't connect.
My sensor keeps disconnecting mid-ride.
This is usually caused by low sensor battery, distance from the device, or Bluetooth interference. Replacing the sensor battery and keeping your phone within range typically resolves this.
Altitude/grade readings look off.
BikePilot uses your device's barometer along with GPS to estimate altitude and slope grade. Barometric readings can drift slightly over time or be affected by rapid weather changes; this is a hardware limitation rather than an App malfunction.
How do I export a ride?
Open the ride from your ride history and use the share/export option to save it as a
.gpx file, which you can then save to the Files app, AirDrop to another
device, or share via email or another app.
How do I import a GPX track (e.g. for navigation)?
Use the import option in the App and choose a .gpx file from the Files app
(Documents/Downloads folder access is required — you'll be prompted the first time).
How do I subscribe to / cancel BikePilot PRO?
Subscriptions are managed entirely through your Apple ID. To subscribe, use the upgrade prompt inside the App. To view, change, or cancel your subscription, go to iOS Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions, or the App Store app → your profile icon → Subscriptions.
I subscribed but PRO features aren't unlocked.
Try using the "Restore Purchases" option in the App's settings/upgrade screen. If the issue persists after restarting the App, contact us with your Apple ID email (do not share your Apple ID password) and the approximate purchase date so we can help investigate.
I was charged but didn't intend to renew / want a refund.
Refunds and billing are handled directly by Apple, not by the Developer. You can request a refund at reportaproblem.apple.com or via Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions on your device.
BikePilot stores all your ride data locally on your device and does not operate a backend server. See our Privacy Policy for full details on what data the App accesses and how it's used.
We'd love to hear your ideas for new features or improvements. Send suggestions to sebastian.gasch@outlook.com — we read every message.
